Devastation Trail

It’s hard to keep track of the lava flows because there are so many. This one is from 1959 when the smaller crater (Kīlauea Iki), adjacent to the Kīlauea caldera erupted. It’s interesting how vegetation will regrow in some places, and not in others.

Not much regrowth here!
